Add different flavors of peppermint tea

Fresh Peppermint Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 5 - 7 Peppermint leaves Fresh or store bought
  • 1 slice Lemon Optional
  • 1 tbsp Honey Optional

Equipment

  • Cup
  • Knife
  • Tea Pot

Method
 

  1. Remove peppermint leaves from stem
  2. Rinse peppermint leaves under running water
  3. Cut peppermint leaves into little slices. This helps to release the oils in the leaves and makes a more flavorful tea
  4. Bring pot of water to a boil
  5. After water starts to boil, allow it to sit for about 3 minutes to cool down
  6. Put peppermint leaves in cup
  7. Pour hot water in the cup over peppermint leaves
  8. Let steep for about 4 - 6 minutes. You can let it steep longer if you want a stronger peppermint tea.
  9. Remove the peppermint leaves from the cup. If you want, you can leave them in there.
  10. Sip your fresh peppermint tea and relax :)
