An 8/8 ritual to design your power

Every time 8/8 rolls around, it hits me with a certain energy.

On one hand, it makes me think, Wow, this year has flown by.

On the other, I can feel something deeper moving beneath the surface.

Last year, I led an eight-day Lions Gate ritual. We wrote down our manifestations each day, poured our energy into them, and committed to the process.

Recently, I found those same pages I had written a year ago. Reading them now, I am amazed by how much of what I wrote has taken shape in my life.

I’m not yet the multi-millionaire I see myself becoming in this reality, but I’m closer than I have ever been, and I know I’m on the right path if I keep showing up.

That reflection has confirmed something I’ve believed for a long time: manifestation begins with design.

You have to give yourself the space to decide what you want before you can align with it.

Why This 8/8 Is Different

The energy of this year’s 8/8 feels just as powerful as last year’s, but my focus has shifted.

I’m no longer interested in trying to manifest everything at once. Instead, I’m aligning myself with the energy of the number 8 itself, which is power, balance, and flow, and asking, What does power mean for me right now?

The number 8 is often called the number of power because it represents mastery over both the physical and spiritual and the ability to turn vision into reality.

When you turn it on its side, it becomes the infinity symbol, a shape that speaks to the endless nature of energy and influence.

True power isn’t about short bursts of control; it’s about sustained flow, knowing how to create and receive without interruption.

The infinity loop moves equally in both directions, giving and receiving, rising and falling, which shows that lasting power is built on resilience, adaptability, and the ability to stay in motion no matter what shifts around you.

When you embody the energy of 8, you step into a current that never runs out, where your strength renews itself and your influence ripples forward without end.

So this is why this year, my 8/8 ritual is centered around exploring, defining, and fully understanding my personal definition of power.

Because I know that once I’m clear on what that looks like, everything else —the business goals, the lifestyle upgrades, the financial milestones —will fall into place.

The 8/8 Power Ritual

This is the process I’m following for the next nine days, starting on 8/8. You can adapt it for yourself if you feel called to explore your own definition of power.

What you will need

  1. Journal and pen
  2. Bay leaves (optional) with a lighter and a fireproof bowl

Day 1 — Define Your Power

  1. Brainstorm freely.
Take some time to write down everything that comes to mind when you imagine yourself at your most powerful. How are you living? How are you showing up? What resources, freedoms, and abilities do you have?
  2. Choose your top 8.
Narrow your brainstorm to eight core themes that define what power looks like for you right now. These are your pillars of power.
  3. Write 8 gratitude statements.
Identify eight ways you already have power in your life today. They might be as simple as:
    • I have the power to work from home.
    • I have the power to choose how I spend my mornings.
    • I have the power to teach my daughter in the way I believe is best.
  4. Anchor the energy with a bay leaf intention.
Write an opening statement on a bay leaf that claims your power for this season, then burn it as a symbolic start to your journey. Example: I choose to define and step fully into my power, on my own terms.

Days 2–9 — Deepen Each Pillar

Each day, choose one of your 8 pillars and

  1. Write it at the top of the page.
  2. List 8 specific ways it could look in your life. Be as detailed as possible.
  3. Write an intention on a bay leaf for one of those details and burn it.

A Personal Example

One of my pillars is “Having the power to access the best of the best.”

When I break that down, it looks like:

  • The best healthcare and wellness support
  • Fresh, nutrient-rich food every week
  • A home filled with inspiring, uncluttered spaces
  • High-quality creative tools for my work
  • Business-class travel for work and rest
  • Expert-level mentorship when I need it
  • Reliable systems and technology
  • Tools that help me rest deeply and wake energized

From that, my bay leaf intention might be:

“I welcome only the highest quality and most aligned resources into my life.”

Tonight we honor 8/8 and remember our power ♾️ I’m burning for the power of choice. Something we all hold, even if we sometimes forget. This is our reminder and our space to reclaim it as we move into a new season of our lives. Why This Matters

At the end of this process, you’ll have something most people never take the time to create: a written blueprint of what power looks like for you.

When you’re clear on what you want, everything else starts to align naturally.

Even the big goals, like my vision of becoming a multi-millionaire, connect back to these pillars.

Because the kind of power I want will matter just as much after I reach those milestones as it does right now. So I might as well start manifesting it now.

The Bigger Picture

Your life is multi-layered and always evolving. Spending focused time on one theme, like power, helps you build a life that fits you on every level.

And once you know exactly what your version of power looks like, you can start making choices that bring more of it into your reality.

Wishing you a beautiful start to August!
